Use of financial models for Third Party to meet the requirements of energy efficiency in public buildings”

In 1th december, 2014 c/o Palacultura, one of the venues of the municipality of Messina, It was held a Round Table on the topic “Use of financial models for Third Party to meet the requirements of energy efficiency in public buildings”.

Present at the meeting were the representatives of ENEA, Municipality of Messina, Innova BIC, CNR, Region of Sicily Province of Messina, various municipalities represented by the Energy Manager, the Commission for the Architectural and Landscape Heritage, the local Association of Architects, the local Association of Engineers, INBAR (National Institute of Bioclimatic Architecture), Energy Managers of different municipalities and local suppliers of energy.

Main objective of the Round Table was to highlight the real risks, constrains and difficulties envisaged by the stakeholders regarding nZEB renovations and eventually to propose some regulatory actions which could allow the development of the market.

In fact, the roundtable debate was an opportunity for participants to get together in an informal setting to examine issues as they relate of the expected results by nZEB directive. All participants had taken an active role in sharing ideas and it was highlighted with spontaneity and sincerity the constrain to stimulate the transformation of existing public building stock into nZEB at least within the time specified by the Directive.
